Gateway Supply History.
The business was started in Sidney, Ohio U.S.A in May of 1972, as a stocking distributor of plumbing products and accessories. Robert Kramer purchased part of the company in 1983, and the balance in 1992. Using his past distribution experience as a guide, Mr. Kramer converted Gateway into an industrial distributor of pipe, valves, fittings, hose, compressed air products, and related products which now include over 60 different manufacturers and product lines.
Sales for Gateway now exceed five times what they were in 1983, and regular customers now include Honda of America, Compair Leroi, Norcold, Alcoa, and Metokote corporations.
Additionally, Gateway sells to the Defense Logistics Agency and received several awards for excellence during Operation Desert Storm.
